Current WSB parent David Kaplan will show a clip from his forthcoming award winning film Particle Fever and talk about his experience as a Waldorf parent.
David Kaplan is a professor of theoretical particle physics at Johns Hopkins University and studies supersymmetry, dark matter, and properties of the Higgs boson. After receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Washington in Seattle, David held research positions at the University of Chicago and Stanford’s Linear Accelerator Center. He has been a featured host and consultant on science programs for the History Channel and National Geographic. He is the creator and producer of Particle Fever, a documentary film about the Large Hadron Collider and discovery of the Higgs particle that won the Audience Award at its festival premier in Sheffield, UK, and received standing ovations from sold-out crowds at the New York and Telluride Film Festivals. The film will be released in theaters this coming March.
